What is Biofeedback and how does a session work?

If you're here, you've probably come across the word "biofeedback" and wondered: what exactly is it? In a few words, it is a non-invasive, painless method that measures the body's electrical signals and uses them to support the nervous system's natural capacity for self-regulation. I'll explain the rest below, without the jargon.

The body communicates through signals

The human body is, in large part, an electrical system. Neurons communicate through electrical impulses, the heart has an electrical rhythm, muscles contract in response to electrical signals. During prolonged periods of stress, fatigue or mental overload, these patterns can become dysregulated — which in practice feels like tension that won't go away, unrefreshing sleep, or a mind that won't switch off.

Biofeedback starts from a simple idea: if we can see these signals, it becomes easier to understand where the system needs support.

How a session works

A session is calm and unfolds in three moments:

  1. The Welcome. We start by talking about where you are right now and what you're looking for. You don't need to prepare anything.
  2. The Connection. While you relax in a chair, soft, adjustable sensors are placed on your skin to capture your body's frequencies. There are no needles and no shocks.
  3. The Harmonization. Based on what was mapped, the system sends subtle regulation stimuli through micro-voltages to support your body in returning to more balanced functioning. Most people describe the session as relaxing.

The first session (The Reset) lasts 90 minutes because it includes the complete mapping. Follow-up sessions last 60 minutes.

Who it may suit

People mostly come to me after a long time under stress: a mind that won't switch off at the end of the day, tiredness that doesn't go away, irregular sleep, tension in the body, the feeling of being "at the limit". There are also athletes and executives who want to support recovery under pressure, and families looking for more calm at home.

The limits of Biofeedback

I want to be clear: Biofeedback does not diagnose, does not replace clinical treatment and does not prescribe medication. It supports self-regulation and well-being, and can complement care from health professionals. With acute symptoms or a diagnosed condition, always talk to your doctor.

As a technical precaution, it is also not performed on people with pacemakers or other active electronic implants, cochlear implants, a history of epilepsy, or during pregnancy (at any stage).

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the person. We always start with the initial session, where I get to know how you have been and we decide the path together: single sessions or one of the 3- or 5-session protocols.

Want to know what it would feel like for you?

The initial session (The Reset, 90 minutes) is the best place to start.
